Response paper | Sociology homework help

Please read instructions carefully, NO Plagiarizing. I have attached the reading on methamphetamine and Cocaine.

From “pep pills” in the 1950s and ’60s, to cocaine in the ’70s and ’80s, and more recently methamphetamine in the ’90s and 2000s—the American consumer seems to love stimulants. Is there a specific type of person or image that is connected to these kinds of drugs, and does that stereotype differ widely from stimulant to stimulant (frankly, considering your extra reading on methamphetamine, do those stereotypes even hold up when we examine which populations are actually using these drugs now)? Given the extra reading on cocaine, how could everyone have initially assumed cocaine wasn’t addictive when its use was on the rise in the late ’70s & early ’80s? Why do you think America & Europe consume such huge amounts of these drugs when compared to the rest of the world? Is there anything about our socialization, values and way of life that lends itself to the effects of stimulant drugs? What have your own experiences with illegal (i.e. not caffeine) stimulants been?

Please cite back to the readings in a way that makes it clear you have actually read & understood them. Paper should be 2 pages or more in length, 12pt. Times New Roman font, 1 inch margins (no headers or footers), double-spaced, and saved in eith
